BCDC is partnering with Bates to publish a directory of businesses owned and operated by members of Bates Memorial Baptist Church. May 7: Volunteer Sign Ups for Bates Xtravaganza Begin

2017 Bates Memorial Xtravanganza

Theme: Expanding Our Territory- Reaching Our Potential

Date: Saturday, July 29th

Location: Shelby Park

Time: Noon to 6:00 PM

Followed by Saturday Night Live (SNL) & Gospel Concert with a renowned Gospel Artist

Volunteers Needed-- Sign ups begin Sunday, May 7 (More Details to Come!)

June 3: Smoketown Sizzlin'

We are on a Mission to reach the Children, Youth, and Young Adults of the Smoketown community with Christ's love at out 2nd Annual Smoketown Sizzlin' Outreach. Join us for food, fun and fellowship as we enjoy games and music. Adult volunteers are needed! Sign up to serve today.

June 3: 4 Your Child Orientation

BCDC, in partnership with the University of Louisville, Kent School of Social Work will be a host site for the 4 Your Child fatherhood program. If you are a non-custodial father, age 16 and older. For more information call BCDC at 502-636-0573 to register. Orientation will be on June 3rd.

June 17th, 24th, July 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th from 2PM to 6PM at 728 Lampton St.

Women of Bates: Ready to start serving? Want to connect with other sisters who can partner with you in your faith walk? Then join the SWBC Women's Ministry for our Women's Quarterly Network! Get info on events, service opportunities, and practical tips from our "Clean Sweep Study" Facilitator (Manetta Lemkheitir).

Chris Stewart, US attorney, will be speaking about the Attorney General's Office of Kentucky and what they do for the public in regards to job of the Attorney General. He will be talking about what cases they are pursuing.

June 10: M.O.B. Cornhole Tournament

Calling all Men!!! Enjoy a day with the fellas on June 10th from 1-4pm at 728 Lampton St. Our day will include Cornhole, BBQ grilled food, and drinks. Trophies will be awarded to the top scorers. We look forward to seeing you there!

To honor our outstanding children, youth, and graduates, join us to celebrate their accomplishments and witness our newest OHMY Scholarship recipients on Wed. June 14th at our Marks of Excellence Celebration. Students 1st grade to graduates, sign up in the Main Office so that we may honor you!

June 17: SWBC Women's Bible Study- "Be Still"

The SWBC Women's Ministry cordially invites women of all ages to our Monthly Women's Bible Study, Sat. June 17, 8:30- 10:30am in the 619 Fellowship Hall. Join us as we explore the benefit of learning how to "Be Still." Facilitator: Sis. Dorothy Starks. We look forward to seeing you there!

Calling all youth 13 and a half to young adults 21 years old: You are invited to participate in Lott Carey's Youth Seminar Missions Week from HBCU campus of UMES Saturday June 24th to Thursday, June 29th. Join us in community and global service, nightly worship, missions and leadership training.

Women's Bible Study : Hearts Reaching Hearts

There’s just something about studying the Bible with other women who are as serious with their relationship with God as you are. Hearts Reaching Hearts Women’s Bible Study will meet for breakfast and study on the 3rd and 4th Saturday of each month. Start time is 10:00 a.m. and we will meet in the Fellowship Hall at 619 E. Lampton location (Children’s Church). Come join us as we edify one another in Christ.
